Rise
This release is a really emotional one for me – three years in the making and finally ready to be shared with you. It all started from one of my piano improvisation sessions in 2023 and a catchy chord progression that just felt right.
During the composition process of ‘Rise’ I was also hugely inspired by Simon Franglen’s incredible work on Avatar 2: The Way of Water – particularly the sense of scale, emotion, and evolving textures that shaped my approach to this piece.
My sincerest thanks to the wonderful and mega talented Charlotte Awbery for lending her powerful voice and inspiration to this recording, to Elliot for helping with the recording process and to John who breathed magic into my mix. I’m so grateful!
